Great place! My husband and I ate there many times when we moved here in 1985! My husband remembers eating there with his uncle Pete in 1955. This place is soooo worth saving!!! Food was great!
Yes very well. Her aunt was my children’s baby sitter for a while. There was also another waitress Hispanic lady but can’t remember her name.Anyone remember the sign over the grill referring to Tom, The order mistaker.
There are red bows in every window and on the door. The sign has been painted white. Wonder who did this and if they are going to revive the diner. (Jan. 13, 2016)

I wonder if this diner is on the radar of any Nj or diner historic preservationists to actually rescue it? Really sad to see something like this.
man, this just screams of being haunted by a couple of 50s teen ghosts. so beautiful in it’s own way.
Check out the band Acken Road on iTunes. Their EP, Busted cover photo features toms diner in its present condition…
Used to love going there. I wish I had the cash to revive it.

I sat in every booth and every stool and connie took care of me
my daughter would go with my dad and he would say:Lets sit at the bar”
did some HDR photos of that diner recently. I would LOVE to get inside to do some more detailed shots!

There are red bows on the windows and door and the sign has been painted white. Is someone going to revive the diner? Hope so.
