I stopped here this morning for coffee, a bagel and a side of scrapple, something I haven’t had access to up at school.

The neptune was built by Mountain View in 1951, and is serial number 296. It used to be known as the DeLuxe Diner.

  1. Quite a bit, yes. This is one of my regular (-ish) stops for food for when we’re heading north. It’s always fast, the food’s always good and comes in big portions.

    If you’re in that area and looking for a diner, also hit up Jennie’s Diner in Ronks, PA. It’s one of my favorites.

      • I’m curious if Erik ever responded to you? He is my cousin, our grandfather was the owner of the diners, in fact my dad has some cool pictures of him as a child in them. If you are still curious, I could help put you in touch.

    • Trying to find out some info on the diners1938-1957. Les Daniel Trying to find out some info on the diners1938-1957. Les Daniel was my great grandfather and my grandfather started an auto body 1957 out of the same building the diners were made in. My father les Daniel III is still in business in the same spot owning Mountain View Autobody. . Would love to find out a little info since I have many photos and proofs that my grandfather gave me. Also I have a metal plate from diner number 251 that my uncle had. Please reply if you know anything. Brie2481@aol.com

    I am Les’s great grandson, the son of Leslie E Daniel the III. We are still the owners the Mountain View Auto. company Succeeding Mountain View Diner Comp. I would love to chat mdaniel2126@gmail.com. Clinton is my uncle. I am currently looking in to my grandfather, Leslie E Daniel II, belongings and found an old tag for Mountain View Diners. We still have the metal press they use to use at our shop.
